During the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak, we must all do our part to keep workers, customers/clients and the public healthy and safe so that we can stop the spread of the virus. We at 839 Media are STILL practicing all of these protocols as we have been from the start, and will continue to do so.
- Requiring all employees to wear all PPE including eye protection, face shield/mask when a worker must come within 2 meters of another person who is not wearing a face covering.
- Ensuring that masks MUST be worn at all times while working or when physical distancing can not be achieved.
- Sanitizing all touch points and pieces of equipment prior to each shoot/production day.
- Making all hand-washing facilities available and in good working order.
- Encouraging proper cough and sneeze etiquette through the use of posted reminders and communications.
- All of our clients MUST bring in their own props if necessary for the time being.
- Practicing physical distancing. (staying 2 meters away from each other)
- Screening of customers/clients and our staff regularly for any health issues including recording of all contact information for contact tracing purposes.
- Encouraging virtual client/customer consultations and meetings to limit the amount of contact between client/customers.
- Ensuring that all illnesses are reported and are well communicated to permit any individuals entering or attending events if any individuals are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19.
- Removal of all chairs from waiting areas to make sure people do not sit close together. As well as the closure of all waiting areas within our business.
- Elimination of all restrictions on cancellations to encourage clients to reschedule if they are feeling unwell.
- Limiting the number of people sharing equipment/gear within our scheduled events/productions.
- Providing extensions for microphones when interviewing individuals to allow for physical distancing.
COVID-19 (coronavirus) has presented all of us with many challenges that we have never seen before. It is important to consider that any adjustments that we are making today, may need further adjustments tomorrow. We are working hard to continuously service our clients/customers within all of the COVID-19 procedures and we are continuously paying close attention to any changes that are made to Ontario’s public health and safety for COVID-19 measures and guidelines.
- Posting signage to remind everybody about physical distancing and proper mask etiquette and continous handwashing.
- Following the mandatory mask bylaw.
- Ensuring employees wear a mask whenever they cannot maintain 2 metre distance (including in break rooms and non-public spaces)
- Encouraging customers/clients to wear a mask in outdoor settings if they cannot maintain 2 metre physical distance.
- Screening all employees for symptoms of COVID-19 before each shift and ensuring they stay home if they have symptoms or are feeling unwell.
- Changing processes and/or using visible markers to ensure 2 metre physical distancing.
- Reminding employees and customers to maintain a physical distance of 2 metres (six feet) at all times, and as much as possible.
- Providing hand sanitizer or hand washing stations for customers and employees.
- Employees are informed/trained on the importance of all these measures.
